Our Mission
The North Pocono Cultural Society is dedicated to enriching the community by expanding access to, participation in, and appreciation of arts and culture. Through inclusive artistic and cultural opportunities, we foster creativity, lifelong learning, and the development of the whole person including focus on the mind, body, and spirit. By strengthening connection, understanding, and civic engagement throughout the region, we help to create a stronger community and foster local pride in our area.
Established in 1981, the North Pocono Cultural Society is dedicated to enriching our region through diverse charitable, educational, and civic initiatives. For over four decades, we have curated a wide array of entertaining and enlightening experiences designed to engage and inspire a broad community audience.
Our legacy of cultural programming includes:
Signature Festival: The Moscow Country Street Fair
Arts & Education: Fine Art and Drama classes, Meet the Author book signings, and specialized Artisan Farmers Markets.
Music & Performance: The Music in the Park series, Dueling Pianos, Dinner Theatre's and international showcases such as The Harmonic Brass of Munich.
Community Traditions: The Art Walk, Scarecrow Contests, Spook Walks, "Mondays in Moscow" series, Russian Christmas in Moscow, and Boo Fest..
Local Heritage: Historical preservation efforts, including "Jane's Historical Buildings Walk."
